Training for Today and Tomorrow

TEMPO is a non-profit association serving the interests of the professional training and educational community throughout the Delaware Valley.

Founded in 1981 as an information systems organization, TEMPO is now a diversified independent forum for exchanging ideas and resources for corporate trainers and administrators, computer technology professionals, educators, and vendors/consultants. TEMPO actively encourages professional development and facilitates expanded contact with peers throughout southeastern Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey, and Delaware.

Although our members represent diverse fields, including industry, business, health care, government, banking, and education, their primary goal as TEMPO members is to share ideas and information on effective training techniques and materials as they participate in a variety of training-related activities.

TEMPO conducts several programs a year at conveniently located sites throughout the metropolitan Philadelphia area. Programs feature accomplished speakers, provocative panel discussions, stimulating workshops, or high quality product presentations geared toward advancing computer software training and general education methods.

Join TEMPO and meet others with similar interests, skills, and goals. Annual membership begins in September and concludes in August. In addition to meeting participation and networking activities, you will also receive the annual Membership Directory, Meeting Announcements, and TEMPO News, our quarterly newsletter. A member may also join any of the committees that oversees such areas as program planning, membership or the newsletter. Committee chairpersons are also members of the TEMPO Advisory Board. TEMPO also participates in regional and national conferences, local user groups and periodically sponsors vendor expositions and symposiums. We also host a discussion group at http://finance.groups.yahoo.com/group/tempo-train/ and encourage you to join us to discuss training issues and post questions.
